Seal and Insulate Steel Column

Buildings that are constructed using steel columns are vulnerable to drafts and heat loss when the columns are not sealed. Steel is an excellent conductor of energy and should be as isolated from the exterior of the building as possible.

We drill the column every 12" and inject foam into the holes, completely filling the cavity. The sides of the column are then sealed to the insulated wall. The holes are capped with self- tapping bolts.
