Blower door testing: We use a blower door to determine a building's ventilation rate - or how leaky it is. We also use it to direct our air-sealing efforts. EPA says that as much as 40% of heat loss in buildings occurs due to air leakage. Thermal Imaging: We use an infrared camera to find everything from missing insulation and heat loss from air leakage, to hidden moisture/ mold issues and electrical problems. Our thermographer is Level 1 certified, with concentrations in roof surveys and building science. We install all types of insulation: fiberglass, rigid foam, Zerodraft spray foam, and cellulose. The best bang for your buck is blown cellulose insulation, which not only gets into every nook and cranny, but also has good air sealing properties - especially when dense packed into wall cavities.
